Payroll & Finance Assistant - Birmingham Airport - £28000 - £30000 Benefits

Due to continued expansion (turnover doubling year on year) this professional global services client are seeking to hire a Payroll & Finance Assistant.

The Payroll & Finance Assistant will be responsible for;

  • Processing an in-house UK payroll.
  • Delivering a global payroll for client.
  • Assisting with processing employee expenses and ensuring they are billed and paid on time.
  • Support Payroll Lead in delivery of global payroll and benefit administration by the completion of agreed tasks within timeline.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with 3rd party Payroll, Pension and Benefit providers to ensure the smooth delivery of payroll
  • Respond to all payroll queries and ensuring they’re responded to within agreed SLA’s, monitor and escalate queries which have not been responded to within agreed SLA’s
  • Input and support the preparation of relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
  • Support all internal and external audits related to payroll
  • Assist in general ledger postings
  • Assist in monthly Management Account Reporting
  • Set up payroll payments in the bank ready for authorisation
  • Create intercompany invoices and recharges
  • Answer queries from customers and suppliers.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Creating draft sales invoices for authorisation
The successful applicant will have excellent knowledge of payroll legislation with the ability to build strong relations and manage / prioritise a given list of tasks.
